General Eligibility
The MM2H programme is open to foreign citizens who meet the financial, property and other requirements set by the Government of Malaysia.

Key Eligibility Notes
- The fixed deposit must be placed in a Malaysian bank, and 50% can be withdrawn after the programme is approved (tax-exempt).
- The property must be a residential property in Malaysia and meet the minimum value for the selected category.
- Business or work activities are allowed under the Platinum category. For Gold, Silver and SEZ/SFZ categories, a separate work permit is required.
- A minimum residency of 90 days per year in Malaysia is required for all categories.
- All applicants aged 18 years and above must provide a non-criminal record certificate from their country of origin.
- Medical examination and medical insurance are required for the main applicant and all dependants.
